Thermal Transfer Ribbons

A thermal transfer ribbon is a polyester film coated with a heat-sensitive material that transfers onto a label during printing. Ribbons are available in a wide range of sizes and are suitable for various thermal transfer printers.

Wax ribbons

Recommended for matte or uncoated paper labels. When heated by the printhead, the wax-based ink melts and transfers onto the label to create the required image.

Wax ribbons are the most economical option, making them ideal for general-purpose applications where high resistance to abrasion or harsh conditions is not required.

Wax/Resin ribbons 

Combine wax and resin-based inks to provide greater durability and resistance than standard wax ribbons. They are suitable for a variety of materials, ranging from uncoated and glossy paper labels to selected synthetic stocks.

They produce clear, sharp print quality with improved resistance to scratching, smudging, and general handling, making them a popular choice for many applications.

Full Resin ribbons 

Designed for applications requiring maximum durability and resistance. They are commonly used with synthetic label materials where the printed information needs to withstand demanding environments and rough handling.

The resin-based formulation provides highly durable print, making it ideal for applications where long-lasting barcode and text readability is essential.
